August 2010 Product Release

Elmhurst, IL (August 3, 2010) - Common Goal Systems (www.common-goal.com), a leading developer of web-based software for schools, announces several major software enhancements to SchoolInsight and TeacherEase. SchoolInsight is the company's comprehensive student management system, and TeacherEase is the popular standards-based gradebook. The improved functionality includes:

Groups
Teachers and schools can now setup groups (football team, school newspaper, chess club, etc). Send email, check eligibility, and run reports by group. Students can belong to as many groups as you like. Instructors can build and manage their own groups.

NCEA School Summary Report
For Catholic customers, the National Catholic Education Association (NCEA) Summary report can now be run. This helps customers gather important data on enrollment patterns, religion, ethnicity, staffing demographics, and more.

District-wide lunch processing
Improved lunch processing for districts with multiple schools sharing the same lunchroom. Staff can now enter food orders for students from multiple schools at the same lunch terminal.

Illinois Direct Certification of Lunch
Import the annual Illinois direct certification lunch file to automatically populate student lunch status.

Updates for Common Core Standards
Many states are in the process of adopting the Common Core Standards. In this release, we are making them available to all of our customers.

"Our team is continually improving the software," says Pat Helmers, Vice President of Sales for Common Goal Systems. "Many of these August updates have been customer-driven. We're committed to listening to customers and making their jobs easier."
