Common Goal Systems Launches Self-Service Online Training

Elmhurst, IL (June 26, 2010) - Common Goal Systems, a leading developer of web-based software for schools, announces the availability of self-service online training for its SchoolInsight customers. The new web-based courseware is presented in an easy-to-follow, hands-on format and allows customers to learn the software at their convenience. SchoolInsight (www.schoolinsight.com) is the company's student information system. The online courseware is offered free of charge to all customers.

The first self-service class available is "Introduction to SchoolInsight Basic Setup." This course focuses on the day-to-day work performed at schools: setting up student data, managing instructor accounts, creating courses and rosters, custom reporting, sending emails, and more. It includes hands-on labs where participants use their actual school data. Subscribers can access the training videos anywhere, any time via the "help" link on their SchoolInsight account. This course is intended for school administrators and office staff. A syllabus is available online at http://www.teacherease.com/docs/SIBasicSetupSyllabus.pdf.

"We want our customers to be comfortable and proficient using the system," says Chris Gauldin, Manager of Technical Services for Common Goal Systems. "The self-service online training is a great alternative for those who can't afford on-site training or who want to learn the software at their own pace. By accessing the training online, customers can get started right away without waiting to schedule a training class. We've taken great care in developing highly polished, user-friendly training materials using industry-leading technology."

The company will be launching other interactive online courses in the coming months including, "Introduction to SchoolInsight Attendance" and "Introduction to SchoolInsight Manual Scheduling."
