TeacherEase adds Online Quiz Tool to Learning Management System

Elmhurst, IL (July 5, 2013) - Common Goal Systems, developer of the web-based service TeacherEase, has added an Online Quiz tool to its Learning Management System (LMS) module. Designed to allow teachers to easily create, administer, and auto-grade online quizzes, it supports numerous question types: multiple choice, ordering, fill in the blank, short answer, etc. It also supports adding rich digital media to make standards-aligned questions more engaging.

“We continue to make improvements to our Learning Management System,” says Mike Xakellis, President of Common Goal Systems.. “Our goal is to make the LMS a great solution for technology-rich classrooms. Adding online quizzes is another step in that direction. As teachers strive to transform education and develop 21st century skills; online quizzes are a valuable part of the educational toolkit. It saves teachers’ time and generates great data to inform instruction.”

Online quizzes can be used for graded assessments or practice exercises. After quizzes are completed, TeacherEase provides useful statistics on student performance. It supports differentiation by identifying areas where students need improvement and provides individualized feedback. Teachers better understand class progress by analyzing learning trends; they can decide to move on or reinforce current concepts.
