Diocese of Colorado Springs Schools Adopt SchoolInsight and TeacherEase
Elmhurst, IL (May 25, 2010) - The Unified Catholic Schools from the Diocese of Colorado Springs have partnered with Common Goal Systems, the makers of SchoolInsight and TeacherEase, for the 2010-11 school year. The schools in the Diocese will be implementing the company's web-based student management system and gradebook, which will give them real-time access to student information. The system will be used to take attendance, run report cards, manage demographics, track lunch, create standards-based lesson plans, and more. Parents can view up-to-the-minute grades, assignments, and fees via the Internet.
"We are excited to be transitioning to SchoolInsight," says Lisa Smid, Executive Assistant UCSPPR, Diocese of Colorado Springs. "After a detailed comparison between four software products, we selected Common Goal Systems based on cost, parental access to information, and functionality for teachers. The staff who evaluated the program were excited by the lesson plans and curriculum mapping features and the ability to track standards. The cost for the program was well below our previous system. We are hopeful that the system will be well received by parents due to its clean and professional layout and interactive reports."
Set up and training on SchoolInsight and TeacherEase has already begun, and the staff will be acclimated by the fall. "Training the staff and helping them achieve confidence in the program is going very well," says Smid.
According to Pat Helmers, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Common Goal Systems, "Our software is designed to simplify the day-to-day work performed at the schools. Teachers love the user-friendly gradebook and administrators save time. Our company has a lot of experience rolling out SchoolInsight and TeacherEase at Catholic schools. Our products are very customizable, making them a perfect fit for nonpublic schools."
Common Goal Systems (www.common-goal.com) provides a line of web-based services to help schools and teachers work more efficiently. In addition to SchoolInsight and TeacherEase, the company develops other modules: health, discipline, longitudinal data, advanced scheduling, and lunch. Using the Software as a Service model (SaaS), the company offers its products via the Internet and is responsible for the deployment, operation, and maintenance of the IT infrastructure. Founded in 2001, Common Goal Systems has hundreds of thousands of users around the world.
